Welcome! We're glad you've chosen to visit our church web site and find out more about the Green Bay Seventh-day Adventist Church.
I'm Delmar Austin, the senior pastor at our church, and have been here since 1998. I'm a graduate of Union College
(Class of '76) and have served as a pastor now for over 25 years. I love my work as a pastor! I enjoy reading, running, biking, camping and travel. I like seeing what can happen in a church where people work together and get involved in ministry. We've got some really great things happening here in our church and invite you to come see for yourself.
In the family picture are my wife, Marcia, and our two children, Brad and Hannah. Marcia is a home health-care social worker at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay. Along with her social work, she is the director of our church choir and she leads the school band at our Adventist Junior Academy. She is very involved at our church and 1st-10th grade school. She also is great wife and mother and brings much joy to our family.
Brad and Hannah are both currently students at Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan. Our home is an empty nest now, except for our latest addition - Charlie, an all gray kitty.
The Green Bay SDA Church is a wonderful church family! Come and visit us some Sabbath morning. You will find serious Bible study, warm fellowship, prayer and praise, and Biblical preaching. We'll be looking for you!
I'm Michael Tuionetoa, the Associate/Youth Pastor at our church. I'm a Polynesian from the Kingdom of Tonga, also known as The Friendly Island, way down in the South Pacific Ocean. My parents, three of my four sisters, and I migrated to the United States from late 70s to early 80s. I completed all my high school studies here in the United States.
Later, God called me to take up Theology studies at Fulton College in the beautiful island of Fiji. I completed this course in Pacific Adventist University at Papua New Guinea in 1998. I was then called to join the pastoral staff in Tonga and Niue Mission in 1999. I graduated from the Seminary in Andrews University in 2002. I served as a volunteer Associate/Youth Pastor for Canoga Park Community Seventh-day Adventist Church in California until I married my lovely wife, Lavenda, who was already working as chair of the music department for Wisconsin Academy. I was later called to take up the position of the head boys dean and teaching a Bible class in Wisconsin Academy also.
On June 1st, 2006, God blessed and answered our prayer with twin girls, Claudia and Josephine. At this time, we had already received the call to take up the position I now have here at the Green Bay Seventh-day Adventist Church. On July 17, 2007, God also blessed us with another baby girl, Nola.
My wife had always been a very active member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, especially by using her gifts, in leadership, music, and youth ministry of which allowed her to serve in many churches, camp meetings, etc. I know I'm very blessed having her as a wife and partner in ministry.
We believe with no doubt that God has called our little family to the ministry here in Green Bay. We praise and thank God that He has called us to serve you wonderful people of God and that he has also given us a wonderful Senior Pastor and his family to work with.
It is a blessing serving in Packerland.
